  98.        If you are installing this product for the first time, the
  99.        subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are
  100.        installed if you use the ``go'' menu item.  To install a
  101.        different set of subsystems, use the ``install,''
  102.        ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  103.        customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then
  104.        select the ``go'' menu item.

  155.        All of the subsystems for Cosmo Create can be installed
  156.        using IRIX.  You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to
  157.        the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete
  158.        installation instructions.

  160.        2.4  _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s

  162.        Your workstation must be running at least release 6.2 of
  163.        IRIX in order to use this version of Cosmo Create.  You also
  164.        need to install the subsystems listed below in Table 1.  You
  165.        should also install the subsystem cosmocreate.data.base,
  166.        which is installed by default; unlike the other subsystems
  167.        listed in the table, there is no prerequisite mechanism
  168.        enforcing this subsystem to be installed because it puts
  169.        files into /usr/share, which isn't accessible by customers
  170.        who are running in a diskless configuration.

  172.        In addition, there are two patches that you should install;
  173.        see below and Chapter 5 for more details about these
  174.        patches.  If you are running Cosmo Create in the Japanese
  175.        locale be sure to install patch 1349 included with the
  176.        Japanese WorldView product.
